The Wahoos were the only ACC team to lose to a non-conference opponent this week. Here's the new power poll:
Week 3
1. Wake Forest
2. Clemson
3. Florida State
4. North Carolina
5. Virginia Tech
6. Georgia Tech
7. Boston College
8. Miami
9. Maryland
10. Duke
11. NC State
12. Virginia
Notes
- I tried not to move Boston College and Miami too much for not playing. However, both dropped two spots because I wanted to keep Georgia Tech ahead of Boston College for beating them head to head.
- I said after Week 1 I would not move FSU higher than No. 3, even if they demolished both WCU and Chattanooga, that's why Clemson is No. 2 and FSU No. 3.
- North Carolina made the biggest jump in the poll for its thrashing of Rutgers on the road Thursday.
- Maryland gets out of the cellar for beating an asleep Cal team Saturday. I have a gut feeling the Terps will return to No. 12 soon enough, though.
- Virginia is this week's ACC team that is worse than Godsmack.
- NC State didn't play terrible but still has no offense.

Can you believe HD has Maryland at #3? Really?! After one win against an overranked Cal team and losing to MTSU?
can i believe it? yes. is she a fucking idiot who is quickly losing any credibility she had and is in danger of getting taken off my rss reader? also yes.
Amen.
Not sold on FSU at all but I guess we will see what happens against Wake.
They got No. 3 by default for not playing on a weekend where pretty much every ACC team got beat. I just refused to move them up or down for playing inferior competition.
I fully expect them to lose by 10 points to Wake.
