VT-UNC Game Post

Use this post to comment on the UNC game. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. and can be seen on ABC in the ACC viewing area and on ESPN for those receiving the Notre Dame-Michigan State game on ABC. If you're like me and the Miami-Texas A&M game is on ABC, you're S.O.L. and have to buy the Tech game on GamePlan. I know, it sucks.

I think this is the first VaTech game I have ever watched where the opposing team's special teams was talked about more than the Hokies'.

were at half and its 10-3, unc. honestly, were lucky its that close. the hokies held unc to field goal attempts on their first two visits to the red zone. one was missed, the other converted. good job by the d so far.

however, i said this game would come down to big plays and so far it has. one missed tackle by kam chancellor and, boom!, there's a td by unc.

we are completely inept on offense and i blame bryan stinespring. he is supposed to coordinate this offense and we look out of sorts. it looks like we dont know what were doing out there and we had to call two consecutive timeouts because we werent ready to run a play. this is stiney's fault.

unc has done a good job of forcing tyrod to throw, which is good for them because it looks like tyrod isnt a very good passing quarterback. he's inaccurate and has also had to throw the ball away a few times.

i hope we dont panic in the second half. we need to give darren evans the ball and reestablish the run game in the second half. assuming evans wasnt knocked so silly hell be completely ineffective in the second half.

i dont see this team able to come back without a big play from the defense or special teams. we got the ball at their seven and didnt convert because of ineptitude. we cant leave those points on the board.

my guess is the bottle of beam in the freezer is going to be gone by days end.

go hokies!

part of it is north carolina's defense. they know tyrod cant beat them with his arm. but part of it is the offense and the play calling.

there is no chance we score an offensive touchdown today.

i really dont know what to say other than, "thank you, bud foster." the defense was incredible in the second half. the running game did what was necessary to win.

its going to be "the cardiac hokies" from here on out.

thank you, bud foster, thank you.
